Travel is stressful enough without frantically searching for your boarding pass, passport and other documents while racing through security. The Bellroy Travel Wallet keeps everything organized and easily accessible.
I had searched high and low for a replacement for my standard-issue passport holder for months. I was tired of my Aeroplan, NEXUS, and other travel cards falling out every time I accessed my passport. I was really done with my printed boarding pass (yes, I still use a printed boarding pass) getting ripped and bent from sticking out of the top.
It was just not working and it stressed me out every time I travelled. I knew I was going to lose something sooner or later.
The Bellroy Travel Wallet
I came across this nifty wallet when I was shopping for Steve’s birthday. It was just what I wanted. However, I managed to refrain from purchasing a gift for myself given it wasn’t my birthday. I bought it for Steve instead. He was just storing his travel documents loose in his carry-on bag so I thought he might like it. Plus, there was always the possibility he’d hate it and pass it along to me.
Turns out, he LOVED it. It was one of those “how-did-I-live-without this?” experiences the first time he used it. Every time we travelled together I vocally admired the wallet dropping hints about my upcoming birthday. It was something subtle, like, “You need to buy me one for my birthday.”
It worked! Actually, Steve bought me a much- coveted backpack for my birthday, but had my mom purchase the wallet for me. Thanks Mom!
No more ripped boarding passes
The biggest advantage of this wallet is that there is a protected place for boarding passes. I also use it to store foreign currency until I’m ready to transfer it into my regular wallet once I reach my destination. I hated keeping my home currency mixed in with the foreign stuff so this problem was solved too.
There are lots of slots for cards that I use exclusively for items such as my travel insurance card, Aeroplan and Global Entry cards—items I only need when travelling.
It’s got a built-in pen!
How many times have you fumbled for a pen to fill out that pesky customs declaration form? Lots. The Bellroy’s slim little pen (ink refill included) takes up no space at all and is always there when you need it.
The only quibble I have with the Bellroy Travel Wallet is that it’s geared to men style-wise. Given that I’m not a girly-girl, the straightforward look is fine with me, but I could see some women wanting a more feminine design. Overall, though, this is a great little travel accessory featuring supple leather and quality stitching. I’ve been super happy with it.

It’s been perfect for me Donna. I got mine at U.N. Luggage in Winnipeg. If you do end up getting one, tell em you saw it here. 😉 Genuinely love that store.
